AFTERMATH (Part 1)
Time: A few days after everything blew up.
Setting: Bo's office. Bo is at his desk staring into space.
Knock on his door.
Bo: Come in.
Hank: Hey buddy - can we talk? Sophia hold all the commissioner's calls unless it's a dire emergency.
B: Since when can you tell my staff what to do?
H: Since now. Hank shuts the door.
B: What's this all about Hank? - I'm busy.
H: I've just come from seeing Nora. She's devastated Bo.
B: Yeah? Well so am I.
H: Sam moved out. Seems he knew for months about what Lindsay did.
B (trying not to look concerned): Really? Well that's too bad.
H: Bo, what's wrong with you? Did you hear what I said? The man knew and didn't tell Nora or you. Sam and Lindsay have been holding back to the people they supposedly love the most.
B: Well he's Nora's problem not mine.
H: Can't you see what's happening? You and Nora have been living a lie.
B: How do you figure that Hank? She's in love with the guy, they live together, they were going to get married, and they have a child together. Besides, I did love Lindsay.
H: Bo, there's one thing you love more and that is honesty.
B: Hank, what's your point. You're wasting my time.
H: Look Bo, Nora loves you and she needs you.
B: Excuse me? I love Nora and I do care about her, but we are not in love anymore.
H: Really? Are you sure?
B: Hello? A few days ago I was in a church exchanging vows with another woman.
H: I know. But think back to the whole Georgie mess. You guys survived some rough times together and you were even stronger.
B: Yeah, so?
H: You were happy and in love, right? And you wanted to have a child.
B: Right, so?
H: Sam and Lindsay go around now making it seem like you two were unhappy and ready to split up and Lindsay pulls this horrible stunt, ruining your lives.
Bo, you know in your heart that Nora was not involved with Sam. She never would have done what she did had it not been for Lindsay.
B: Look, Nora's already said this to me. She never said she still loves me.
H: Boy, you are really bullheaded Bo! Just like Asa.
B: Hank, she moved on with Sam. Saying she loved him every time I turned around. I moved on too, with Lindsay and I'll move on again.
H: Nora did not do what she did out of jealousy Bo. She did it for love - for you. That's why Sam left. He knows she still loves you and so does Lindsay. And I think you still love her too.
Bo does not respond. He just looks at Hank bewildered by what he just heard.
H: Bo, you need to talk to Nora. Are you willing to let her go again? Think about all the great times you had when you first met, how much she meant to you. Your relationship was the stuff soap operas are made of. Man, it was the best thing that ever happened to you. And I don't care what you say, your time with Lindsay in no way compared - same for Nora with Sam.
With that, Bo gets up, puts on his coat, and leaves.
Setting: Nora's house. Nora and Matthew are playing on the floor. The doorbell rings.
Nora: Now who could that be?
She picks up Matthew and answers the door.
N (surprised): Bo!
B: Nora, can we talk?
