All Over Again
Chapter Eleven
Dr. Southall walked into the room. Five sets of eyes looked at her impatiently and she smiled. Good news. Weve found a match.
"Yes!" Bo shouted out before grabbing Nora and swinging her around. That was followed by a group hug before they returned their attention to the doctor.
"Who is it doctor?" Nora asked. "Me? Rachel?"
"Actually, it's Mr. Buchanan. We're very lucky we found it. The lab tech was under the impression that Mr. Buchanan was not related to Matthew and was just doing routine tests before putting his blood in the general bank when she noticed he matched on two points. She did the rest of the test's and it turns out Bo and Matthew are five point matches."
Nora shook her head. "That's impossible Dr. Southall. Bo is not related Matthew."
Doctor Southall furrowed her brow. "That's odd. I think it might be a good idea to run the test again just to make sure. I'll be back."
They all watched as the doctor left. Selma and Len went back to their corner while Hank, Rachel, Bo and Nora all congregated together. Each looked at the other, not quite sure what to say. Finally, Hank spoke up.
"What do you make of that?"
Nora shrugged her shoulders. "Don't know."
Rachel slipped her arm through Bo's and put her head on his shoulder. "Bo, is there any chance..."
"No," he replied quickly. "Matthew is not my son."

The lab tech stared into his microscope and then made a notation on a file. He repeated this action several more times before handing the file to an awaiting Dr. Southall.
"Well?"
"Same findings as before. Bo Buchanan is a five point match for Matthew Rappaport."
Dr. Southall looked over the file and shook her head. "Amazing. In almost twenty years I have never seen a non-relative be a five point match."
The labtech looked at her strangely. "What do you mean a non-relative?"
"Just what I said. Bo Buchanan and Matthew Rappaport are not related."
The labtech shook his head. "That can't be right. Look at this."
The tech walked back over to the microscope and placed two slides under the lense. Dr. Southall walked over and looked at the slides.
"Oh my goodness."

PICU Waiting Room
Bo leaned up against the window of the waiting room staring out over Chicago watching as the light rain turned into snow. Nora walked over to him and put an arm around his waist causing Bo to jump.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."
Bo smiled. "It's ok."
Nora leaned her head against his chest. "What are you thinking about?"
"I just keep going over every detail of the last time Sam and I had Matthew's paternity test done. We both stood there the entire time waiting for the results. There isn't anyway somebody could have changed them. Is there?"
"All I know, is that it would be a dream come true. All I've wanted for so long is to know that you were Matthew's father. Then, everything we've been through wouldn't be ok but at least something would have come from it."
Bo sighed. "I can't dare to hope Nora. I've already lost that little boy three times. I couldn't bear to lose him again."
Just then, the door opened and Dr. Southall entered the room. Everyone gathered around her again anxiously awaiting the news.
"Before I start I just have one question. Are you absolutely sure that Bo and Matthew are not related?"
Nora shifted uncomfortably. "Well, Bo and I were together during the period when Matthew was conceived."
Dr. Southall opened her file and glanced over it before looking back at them. "Well, that cynches it for me. Not only am I positive that Bo and Matthew are a five point match but I'm certain that Bo is Matthew's father."
