All Over Again
Chapter Nine
Nora smiled at a frustrated Bo while pulling her cellphone out of her pocket. She loved it when he pouted.
"And just when things were going so well."
"Poor baby," Nora replied before answering her phone. "Nora Buchanan."
Bo moved closer to Nora and ran two fingers down her shoulder, continuing down her arm.
"Rikki! Hi! Baby, are you crying? What's wrong?"
Bo continued his ministrations with his hands only this time he pressed his lips to her neck. Suddenly, she jerked away and stood grabbing at clothes. When she came across something of his she tossed it his direction.
"What the hell happened? Well, is he going to be ok? Oh God, I'll be there as soon as I can. Rikki, sit with him. Tell him I'm on my way."
Nora hung up her phone and quickly began dressing, wiping away tears. Bo dressed also despite the fact he had no clue why they were in such a hurry. Finally, he walked over and took her in his arms.
"Nora, honey, what's up?"
Nora looked up into his eyes, her own glazed over from tears. "Oh Bo, it's Matthew. There's been an accident. He's in the hospital in Chicago and it doesn't look good."
Bo quickly finished getting dressed before walking over to the horse. He quickly mounted and pulled Nora up behind him. Coming out he had ridden behind her with her in the saddle but he knew he could control the horse much more easily from the saddle. "Hold on to me tight Red. We're heading back."
"What about the picninc stuff Bo?"
"Forget it. I'll send Ricardo back out to pick it up. Now hold on." Nora wrapped her arms tightly around Bo's waist. Once he was secure she was ok he spurred into the horses sides and they took off, heading back to the stables as quickly as the horse could take them.

It had taken then over and hour to reach the oak tree when they had left the stables earlier that day but Bo had them back there within twenty minutes. They rode at breakneck speeds all way into the stables where they dismounted. Bo explained to Ricardo the situation and he assured Bo that he would return to the oak tree for what they left behind. Then, he told Nora that he and Margarite would be praying for her and her son.
Bo and Nora ran all the way to his truck and then Bo raced back towards Dallas and DFW's private airfield where Bo had called ahead to inform them the Buchanan jet should be ready and waiting for take-off.
It took them an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. Bo parked his truck and he and Nora rushed to the plane. They were heading up into the plane when Nora stopped and looked at him, fear still filling her eyes. "Bo, you don't have to come with me."
"I know I don't have to go Nora, I want to." Bo replied before pushing her inside the plane and following close behind.

Three hours later...
Buchanan Jet
Somewhere over the midwest
Nora was pacing back and forth in front of Bo who was sitting on one of the jet's couches.
"Nora, you need to calm down. Wearing a hole in the carpet isn't helping anyone."
"How much longer Bo? I'm going nuts."
Bo looked at his watch. "We should be there within an hour. Why don't you just come and sit with me?"
Nora sighed and sat down next to Bo on the couch, allowing him to put his arm around her. "Bo, he's my baby. What am I going to do if he... if..."
Bo stroked Nora's hair comfortingly. "Shhh Nora, he'll be fine. I promise you we are going to do everything we can to make sure he's ok."
"I hope you're right Bo. My God, I hope you are right. I don't know how I would live without him." As the words escaped her lips she finally broke down and sobbed into Bo's shoulder while he wrapped his arms tightly around her.
To be coninued....
