Last time:

He placed his hand on her chest and she softly covered his hand with hers. Holding his hand tightly. Her tears fell again.

B: Think with your heart. What does your heart tell you?

N: My heart tells me to let you love me... to let me love you..

He didn’t give her the chance to continue and brushed his lips against hers. Her lips parted. Wanting him. Needing him. His mouth explored hers with fierce passion. They started to step together towards the couch, never depart from each other. He laid her on the couch and covered her body with his own. When they finally broke their kiss to get air he looked deeply into her eyes.

B: Let me love you, Red.. I want to love you..

She stroked his face softly and pulled him to her so she could kiss him again. She wanted to be nowhere but in his arms. She wanted to do nothing but to love him. She needed nothing but to be loved by him. His lips trailed soft kisses on her neck. God, how much she wanted him. She wanted him now more than ever. She tightened her hold on him. She wanted to be one with him. His hands set her body on fire. Kissing her, touching her, he wanted to feel her. He wanted her to be his. He pulled her shirt over her head. His body craved for her. He gave her his heart again. He loved her again. He was complete again. He was happy.

**********************

The rays of sunlight penetrated through the window and caused Bo to stir. He slowly opened his eyes. Still fuzzy from his sleep, he looked around the room and tried to remember where he was. And then he could feel her. She was sleeping peacefully beside him. Her head resting on his chest, their bodies entwined with each other’s.
He smiled as he realized that last night wasn’t a dream. It was real. He was in Nora’s bedroom, holding her into his arms after a night of renewed passion that was pent up inside of them for so long. Too long. He softly kissed her forehead. He couldn’t be happier or more satisfied than he was at that moment. Nora began to stir as his lips touched her skin. She started to open her eyes and then she saw him. He was smiling at her. And she smiled back.

B: Morning, Red.

He softly planted a kiss on her lips. She looked at him, still fuzzy and confused.

N: I thought it was just a dream...

B: I thought that too until I saw you lying next to me.

He looked at her and carefully examined her face. She was confused, he could see that and it scared him at first, but then he saw her smile again. And that spark in her eyes that lightened her eyes as if they were beacon. The same beacon that saved his life once. The same beacon that made him feel so completely in love with her. The same beacon that left no doubt both in his mind and heart that she was the only woman he wanted, and always would, to spend the rest of his life with. As he kept looking deeply into her brown her eyes he saw honesty.

N: I have no idea how I let it go this far but I’m so happy, Bo..

B: I’m happy too, Red. I’m happy that you listened to your heart. I love you so much.

Their eyes locked together for a long moment before their lips met. He pulled her tight to him and explored her mouth with such passion that her body melt into his arms. When their lips parted she held his face in her hands and trailed soft kisses on his cheeks and neck. She couldn’t believe that she could feel so happy again. It almost seemed impossible to her that she felt whole once more, but she did. Holding him and kissing him made her realized what was missing in her life all along. She missed him and needed him more than she could imagine. She was half without him, and now, when she had him back, she was whole. She looked deeply into his eyes. Her eyes were shining with moisture.

N: For so long it had seemed to me that almost everything in my life went wrong, I couldn’t understand why, but now, when you’re holding me into your arms, that I know that your heart is mine again, everything just seems perfect. Everything seems right. I love you, Bo, and I think that I’ve never stopped and never will be able to.

Bo smiled and covered her hands, which were still on the sides of his face, with his own and then kissed her palms.

B: I’ve never thought that I would be able to feel so much happiness and wholeness again like I’m feeling now. But now I finally realize that whenever I’m with you, I can feel that. It had been missing for so long, Red, and I can’t be happier now that I got it back. That I got you back.

Their face lightened with joy when Bo rolled over on Nora and his strong body covered her own. She caressed his face tenderly. Her free hand’s fingers thrust into his hair. She hauled him tighter so their lips could meet once again. The rush of feelings that raced into their bodies was unbelievable. Unimaginable. The love and desire they felt for each other couldn’t be any stronger than it was as they showed each other how much they needed one another. Wanted one another. Loved one another. After they made a passionate love they laid still in each other’s arms. Holding each other tight. Enjoying the moment that they had missed for what seemed like a lifetime. Nora picked her head up of his chest and looked at Bo.

N: I just thought of something...

B: What?

N: I told my mother I would come to Chicago for a few days...

B: Do you still want to go away for a while?

N: I’m not sure I know what I want or don’t want...
She slightly bent down and kissed him.

N: Everything seems different now. I feel different now. I don’t want to go away, I want to have Matthew back here and to start living my life again.

Bo straightened up and sat down. He looked seriously at Nora.

B: And what’s going to be with us? Where are we going to from now on?

Nora straightened up too and looked at him.

N: I don’t know, Bo. I want to be with you, but we need to take it slowly, without any rush, we still need to rebuild so many things between us, I don’t want to have any doubts, I want to be sure and confident in everything like I’m sure in my love for you. In your love for me.

B: I agree, as long as we’re gonna give our best try to make it work, because I want you completely, Red. Both in your heart and mind.

She got closer to him and kissed him. She stroked his face, she could swear she has never felt so much warmth radiated from his body as her hand touched him. She looked into his eyes and she could bet on her life that she has never seen them bluer, more beautiful and honest as he looked at her back. She softly smiled. Her eyes wandered from his eyes to his lips. He was smiling. And she couldn’t feel more in love when she saw his smile. The same smile that made her happy no matter what happened. The same amazing smile she had no idea how much she missed until now.

N: Thank you. You are incredible.

She paused. She was nervous. A serious look appeared on her face.

N: One more thing, Bo..

B: What?

N: I want to tell Matthew the truth. He needs to know that you are his father. He deserves to know that. And so do you, Bo. I want you to be able to hear your son call you daddy. I want you to be able to hold him and call him son. You both lost too much time together, you have so much to make up for, I don’t want you to waste more time, Bo. I want you both to be happy.

Bo kept looking at her in silence. He was so moved by Nora’s words and will to make him happy. Hearing Matthew call him daddy was the most important thing for him since he found out the truth. He needed and wanted to have the chance to make up for all of his past mistakes. He needed do to it for himself, for Drew, but especially for Matthew and Nora, who were his whole world now. Who were his family. Nora was right, Matthew and he had so much time to make up for, and he couldn’t be more thankful to Nora. He couldn’t be more appreciative to that incredible woman that he loved so much. A tear slowly rolled down his cheek. Nora examined his face and softly kissed his tear away. He hugged her tight.

B: Thank you so much, Red.

He held her face in his hands and looked at her deeply. His eyes lowered to look at her lips. He tenderly rubbed his fingers against her lips and the rush of desire and need swept him away.

It was already evening and Bo and Nora were watching a movie and eating pizza when the doorbell rang.

N: Who can it be? I’m not expecting anyone..

Nora looked at Bo and walked towards the door. When she opened the door her breath was taken away, her eyes opened widely with happiness and shock and her heart was filled with joy. Before she could get her words out Matthew jumped on her and hugged her tightly.

M: Mommy!

Still surprised and confused, she looked at him and knelt down so she could face him. Her eyes were filled with tears when she examined his face. She missed him so much and now she finally could hold him again. She held him tight and planted kisses all over his face. When she loosened her hold on him and got up she smiled. Rachel was standing there, smiling at her. Nora put her hand on Rachel’s face and let her tears well up her eyes.

N: Oh, Rachel..

Nora said and pulled Rachel into tight embrace. She held her daughter for a long moment, enjoying the happiness of the renewed union with her children. She pulled back and wrapped her arm around Rachel and stroked Matthew’s hair.

N: What are you doing here?

R: Bo called us and said that you needed us, so we caught the first plane and come. I missed you so much, mom.

M: I missed you too, mommy.

Nora looked at Bo and smiled. He smiled back at her. Once again, she could see how much he cared about her, how much he wanted nothing but to make her happy and he always knew what to do to make her happy. She looked at her children.

N: I missed you too. I’m so glad you’re here.

Bo walked towards them and smiled.

B: I’m glad you’re both here too.

Matthew ran to Bo and hugged him.

M: I missed you too, Bo.

B: Me too, buddy.

Bo looked at Rachel and hugged her.

B: You look wonderful.

R: Thank you, Bo.

Nora looked carefully at these three people that she loved more than life itself. Rachel. Matthew. And Bo. She rubbed her tears away and let the feeling of happiness flood her body. Mind. And heart. Rachel walked next to Matthew as he excitingly told Bo about the time he spent at his grandparents and about all the new toys he got and about their flight. Bo had this big smile again. The same one she saw hours ago when they were into each other’s arms. Rachel was laughing, enjoying the innocent excitement of her little brother. Nora walked behind them and cherished that wonderful moment. She joined them and the four of them spent a perfect evening together. As a family. After hearing all of Matthew’s stories about his adventure, watching TV and eating pizza together, Matthew fell asleep on Bo`s lap.

R: I think I’ll take my little brother upstairs.

N: Thanks.

Rachel smiled and carried Matthew upstairs to his bed. When they were alone, Nora placed her hands on Bo`s face, stepped closer to him and clung her lips against his own. After breaking the kiss, Bo smiled and looked at her breathless.

B: Wow! What was that for?

Her eyes never left his own as she ran her finger over his face. His arms tightened around her waist, pulling her closer, so close he could smell her scent.

N: For being the most amazing man on earth. Thank you for calling Rachel. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have them here.

Bo smiled and softly kissed her forehead. She was wrong. He did know how happy she was to have her kids there with her. All he needed was to look at her face and know how happy she was. He knew her so well to read any single one of the expressions she had on her face. The happiness. The appreciation. The gratitude.

B: You’re very welcome. It was all my pleasure, Red.

He kissed her one more time, but this time on her lips. When the kiss became too passionate, he pulled away.

B: I think I’d better go now, sleep tight, Red.

She watched him, still breathless, as he walked towards the door. He opened the door and turned around to look at her one more time. They both were smiling.

B: I’ll see ya tomorrow. Luv ya!

For a few moments Nora kept looking at the door. She couldn’t believe how happy she was. She smiled and went upstairs. She passed Matthew’s room and after seeing him sleeping like a little angel she smiled and walked down the hall. She stopped again near Rachel’s room. Her heart was filled with joy as she watched her daughter sleeping so peacefully. Until that moment, she had no idea how much she missed her. She walked into her room and awhile later climbed into her bed with a big smile speared all over her face. And fell asleep.

The darkness overcame the room. A sharp silence fell. Her heart began to pound heavily but yet fast as she felt his touch. She couldn’t see his face, it was too dark, but she could smell him, she could feel him, she could hear him breathing. His touch was rough on her skin. Her breaths became thinner as she couldn’t get air into her lungs. Her body was trembling. Her legs didn’t move. She was frozen. But his touches continued. His hands touching her all over her body. The sharp sore of his painful contact with her body paralyzed her. Scared her. But then she heard quiet voices. And suddenly she could breath again. He was there, she knew that by his familiar cologne scent. Then she heard laughter. Her son’s laughter, she could recognize it everywhere at anytime. Fear flooded her body again as she saw them disappear into the darkness. She was alone again. And suddenly he looked at her. She could look into his eyes now. And she saw hatred. Anger. She wanted to run away but her legs still didn’t carry her. She closed her eyes and cried....

R: Mom...mom... wake up... mom...

Rachel shook Nora’s body and tried to wake her up. Nora opened her eyes and looked at Rachel. Rachel noticed the dread and confusion into Nora’s eyes and pulled Nora closer for a hug.

R: Mom, that’s ok, it was just a dream..

Nora looked at Rachel and then leaned her head down. She covered her face with her hands, feeling the wetness of her sweat. Of her tears. She had a strange feeling inside of her. This dream wasn’t like all the others she had. He was there. Touching her. Hurting her. Scaring her. Like all the other dreams, but yet, it was different. They were there too. Matthew and Bo. And they were in danger. She shook her head hard in attempt to avoid those thoughts. It was just a dream, she reminded herself. But she couldn’t shake off the worry feeling that pent up inside of her, as if this dream was some kind of sick sign.

N: I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened to me..

R: You had a nightmare..

They both fell silent. Rachel examined her mother’s face and expressions. She wished she knew what to do or say. She wanted to make her mom’s fear go away. She hated to see her mother scared. After a long moment of silence, Rachel talked...

R: It was about him, right? About this bastard..

Nora picked up her head and looked at Rachel. She didn’t want to worry her daughter. She stayed silent.

R: I hate him for what he did to you, mom.. I didn’t know you still have nightmares... I had no idea you’re still scared of him.. you looked so happy today and I just thought... oh, I’m so sorry..

N: For what?

R: For not being here with you from the beginning. I was so scared when grandma told me what happened and when I saw Matthew’s face I was dreaded. I wasn’t sure I was able to see you in such pain. I was selfish, I needed to be with you..

N: Oh, Rachel, please, don’t blame yourself...

Nora felt sadness. She hated to see her children hurt. She could imagine how hard it was for Matthew to find her lying on the floor, socked with blood and she hated that thought. Now, as she was looking at her daughter’s face, she hated it even more. Both her children were hurt and suffering because of her. Because of what that lowlife did to her. She tightened her hand on Rachel’s hand and stroked her face softly.

N: I’m sorry that I scared you, but I’m all right now. I’m so happy that you came here with Matthew.

R: Mom, how can you be all right after what he did to you? It makes me furious to know that he didn’t get what he was deserved...

N: I have to be all right, for you and for Matthew..

R: Matt is maybe too young to understand everything, mom, but I’m old enough, you don’t have to be all right for me.

N: You are my child, Rachel. You and Matt are everything to me. I promised myself I would do anything to get my life back, to take control over my life again, I would do anything to make sure you are safe and happy. I have to be all right for your sakes. I love you so much.

Rachel looked at Nora and then clung to her body. They held each other tight and cried.

R: I love you too. I want you to know that I’m here, anytime you need me. You don’t have to be strong for my sake, mom. Let me help you.

N: Oh, honey, you already help me. You’re here with me and that’s a big help. I don’t want to think of what happened. I’m not going to let these nightmares ruin my life. I want to forget my past and to go on. I finally found myself again. I can be happy again.

Rachel looked at Nora and smiled. She knew what Nora meant by saying she could be happy again. She could see in her eyes and in Bo`s eyes that something was going on between them. She could read the love Nora felt for Bo right into her eyes.

R: You mean that you can finally be happy with Bo, right?

N: How did you know?

R: It’s written all over your face, mom. I can see that special spark in your eyes. The one I could have seen only when you were with Bo. So did you two get back together?

Nora smiled shyly. She knew what spark Rachel talked about. She could see it in her eyes too in the morning after she spent a wonderful night with Bo.

N: Well.. you can say so. I love him, Rachel. He is the only man I’ve ever truly loved.

R: I know that. I’m so happy for you. You two deserve to be together again after what you both have gone through. You were meant to be and I’m so happy you finally realized that.

N: So that makes the both of us.

They both laughed and then a deep silence enveloped them. Nora’s laughter turned into a serious look.

N: There is something else, Rachel..

R: What is it?

N: A few months ago, Bo and I found out that Sam wasn’t Matthew’s father after all.

R: What? What do you mean? You mean that..

N: That Bo is Matthew’s real father.

R: I can’t believe it. How did it happen? How is it that Bo is his dad?

N: It’s a long story, but it’s the truth.

R: But Matt doesn’t know about it..

N: We wanted to wait for the right time to tell him that. It’s not going to be easy..

R: He loves Bo, he adores him! You should see how he bragged to grandpa and grandma that Bo is his friend, that he is a brave commissioner of the police. He needs to know the truth..

N: I know. That’s why Bo and I decided to tell him the truth... tomorrow.

R: Oh, mom, I’m so happy. I’ve never really liked Sam. I always wished that Bo were Matt’s father. Bo is a great guy. And you can finally be a happy family...

N: I hope that too. Thank you Rachel. Thank you for your support. I love you.

The next day, Nora was getting ready for the picnic she and Bo planned to take Matthew, so they could tell him the truth. She was in the kitchen when the doorbell rang.

M: I’ll open the door, mom!

Matt yelled and ran to the door. Nora walked into the living room with the basket she made for their picnic at the park and called Matt.

N: Matt who was at the doo..

The basket fell on the floor. Her mouth opened with shock. Her trembling hands covered her face. Tears built in her eyes. Fear flooded her body. Everything froze. Her voice was cracking.

N: It’s... it’s... you...

To be continued...
