The Course of True Love Never Runs Smooth~ Part Forty Five   Chapter Forty Five:   Running into the office, “Yes, sir.”   “Get three officers and head over to Dr. McGiver’s house. (turns the sketch around) He’s our man. I’ll meet you there with a search warrant.”   Antonio leaves and Bo runs down to Hank’s office…ten minutes later they have a search warrant and they’re on their on their way to McGiver’s loft…Bo is driving while he’s dialing their home number…no answer….Nora’s cell phone…no answer….The station is radioing Officer Jamison….no answer….   (AN: the next sequences will all be happening at the same time…Bo to Nora back to Bo back to Nora…okay I think you get the point…at least I hope you do…LOL)   “Damnit Nora where are you? (calling their home number again) You’ve reached the Buchanan’s…we’re not here right now so you know what to do…”Nora, pick up the phone, honey…pick up…We know it’s T...”(phone line goes dead)   Troy is standing in the middle of the living room with Madison in his arms; Matthew is lying on the couch; his head in Nora’s lap. Troy is holding a gun in his hand and Nora has never seen him this crazed…it’s almost like he’s Colin….   “Just stay calm, Nora…Just stay calm…You’ve got to figure out a way to calm him down…(looking down at Matthew) Come on Matty wake up…wake up sweetie…Please God, let my babies be okay…Don’t let him hurt them…”   She is brought out of her thoughts by the sound of the phone ringing….   “You’ve reached the Buchanan’s…we’re not here right now so you know what to do. (Nora begins to tear up at the sound of Bo’s voice) Nora, pick up the phone, honey…pick up…We know it’s T…” (Troy rips the phone out of the wall)   Points the gun at her and shouts, “Get up….We’re leaving, now!”   “I’m not leaving with you, Troy.”   “If you want to live and you want your children to live you will come with me.”   Troy’s loft….   Bo arrives outside of Troy’s loft where the officers were waiting for the search warrant. They opened the door and walked into the empty apartment….   “Antonio, I’ve been trying to get a hold of Nora but she’s not answering her cell phone or the house phone. I’m heading over there.   Looking into the loft; his back to Bo, “I’ve got things under control here…I’ve got a couple officers over at the hospital looking for him and we have an APB out for Troy. We’ll find him, sir.”   Antonio turned around to face Bo but he was already gone….   Nora was now sitting on the couch her hands bound in front of her. Madison was sitting in her car seat; thankfully oblivious to what was going on as she slept. Nora watched Troy walk out of the house carrying Matthew to the car. He returned a few minutes later and yanked her up off the couch before picking up Madison. “Troy, where are you taking us?”   “You’ll see. We’ll be together just the way it was meant to be.”   Bo’s car…   He’s stuck behind an accident which has Main street completely blocked off…He called the station and has an officer on their way to the house…   “I’m coming honey. Please God, let them be okay.”   Troy’s car…   Nora is slumped over in the seat beside Troy; Matthew and Madison in the back seat. He wished she wouldn’t have tried to fight him. She should’ve just come on her own.   Officer Simmons and the other officers quietly approach the Buchanan home. They notice the front door is still open. They walk into the house and see the phone lying on the floor; obviously ripped out of the wall. No sign of force entry; not much of a struggle…just the desk chair knocked over…her wedding and engagement ring lying on the desk…every family picture broken….a note to Bo propped against the lamp….   “Simmons, get out here.”   Simmons walks over to the side of the house where the other officer is crouched down on the ground….   “Damnit, its Jamison. (reaching down to find a pulse) He’s gone…and so is Mrs. Buchanan and the kids.”   Bo arrives just as Simmons is walking back over to his car to radio in about Jamison.   Grabbing Bo’s arm as he rushes past him into the house, “They’re not in there, sir.”   A private airstrip outside of town….   Nora lies on the bed in the back of the plane; Matthew lying on the couch in the corner; Madison asleep in her carrier….   Sits down on the bed beside her; brushing her hair out of her face, “Just rest now, Scarlet….we’ll be there soon.”   TBC....
