THE FURNITURE
Bo: Lindsay what were you thinking? You've taken all of
the livingroom furniture out of Nora's and my house.
Lindsay: But I want you to feel at home here. Nora won't care,
she's living at Sam's
Bo: But don't you understand ...
Lindsay: What's to understand Bo. You needed furniture so I arranged
for this to be delivered.
Bo: But Lindsay you can't do this. The couch... it just that the
memories
Lindsay: Memories, shmemories. Doesn't it all fit in so nicely?
Bo: I guess ...but
Just then Bo's cell phone rings . Lindsay goes out on the terrace
to figure out what else she can take from Bo and Nora's house
for out there.
Nora very upset: Bo, I came by the house to get a few things
and Bo, we've been robbed.
Bo: Settle down Nora, I can explain
Nora: What are you talking about? Where's our furniture? Our table?
Our weathervane? Someone was even greedy enough to take the pillows!
Bo: Nora I have to tell you something, calm down.
Nora: WHAT?
Bo very sheepishly: Well Lindsay found an apartment for me and
she took in upon herself to arrange for the furniture to be sent
over.
Nora, furiously: EXCUSE ME?
Bo: I think you heard me. What am I supposed to do?
Nora: SEND IT BACK
Bo: Nora, she was only trying to help
Nora: NOW
Nora hangs up abruptly.
Bo: Lindsay, that was Nora on the phone. She's hopping mad
that you took our furniture. You really should have discussed
it with her.
Lindsay: Why, so she could say NO
Bo: But you don't understand how much ...
Lindsay: Look Bo, the stupid things are here. They look fine and
why bother with new stuff if this isn't being used?
Bo: Lindsay, its not just the furniture its the memories associated
with it.
Lindsay: So we'll make new memories, Bo. Come here, so we can
start.
A loud knock on the door. Bo is looking around the room
in disbelief. Lindsay gets up.
Lindsay as she opens the door: Oh that must be the cable guy.
Man: This the Buchanan residence?
Lindsay: Yes
Man looks into room and spots Bo: You Buchanan?
Bo: Yeah. What do you want?
Man: I have a note for you.
Bo takes and reads the note. OVER MY DEAD BODY, NORA
Man: We've been sent to move the furniture back. Sorry for the
inconvenience. We'll be as fast as possible.
