I Remember

Bo Buchanan walked down the corridor that led to his office with precision balance. In his hands rested to bacon cheeseburgers, two cans of soda, and four snack size chips, all of which could spill at any moment. When he reached his door he hit it with his knee and winced at the pain. As soon as Nora opened the door he slipped in and dropped everything on his desk.
"Any word?"

"No," Nora shook her head and picked up a bag of chips. "They're still recounting the votes." She tore open the bag and stopped. "Bo, where are the hotdogs?"

"I got cheeseburgers."

"I wanted both." Bo glared. "But this is fine too." She grinned and sat down on his couch, chips and burger in hand. "This is driving me crazy."

"It's only been a couple of hours, these things take time." He assured her and picked up his food.

"If I didn't want to wipe that smug smile off Coleson's face I'd just forget the whole thing."

"Nora, the results had you behind by 40 votes. I think that calls for a recount, just to make sure." Bo sat down next to Nora and opened her soda. "You deserve this, Red."

"Wow, you haven't called me that in a while." She nudged him with her shoulder. "Sometimes I forget just how sweet you are."

He made a face. "How can you forget that?" Nora looked down. "I'm sorry, that came out wrong."

"No, it's okay, really. I remember a lot more than you think, Buchanan."

"Like."

"Like, I remember when you saved me from the fire in Club Indigo. Thank you by the way."

"No problem."

"And, I remember when we got trapped," She started to laugh. "When we got trapped in the toy warehouse and you got electrocuted."

Bo groaned. "Not one of our finer moments."

"You know what I just realized?"

"What?"

"You're bad luck." Bo did a double take and felt her forehead. "Bo, what on earth are you doing?"

"Feeling your forehead for a fever, because you're obviously delirious." He laughed as she swatted his hand away. "I bring quite a lot of good luck. If it weren't for me, we wouldn't have won all those dancing awards."

Nora rolled her eyes. "Are we back on this again? I won those awards Bo."

"Don't think so."

"Okay, let's go, you and me, right here." Nora stood up and put her food on Bo's desk.

Bo hopped up and pushed the chairs out of the way. "We don't have any music."

Nora reached across his desk and flipped on the radio. "Problem fixed."

Bo slipped his right arm around Nora's waist and pressed her body against his. "Ready?" He began swaying slowly to the music, his eyes never leaving Nora's.

"Bo."

"Yeah."

"This isn't a slow song."

"So what."

They continued their slow dance with Nora wraping her arms around Bo's neck, their faces inches from eachother. "Know what else I remember?"

"What?"
