HONEYMOON SUITE...A short Fan Fic
Bo and Nora are away for the weekend at a cozy Bed & Breakfast
Unfortunately, their room is next to the honeymoon suite, which is occupied by newlyweds.
Time: Approximately 1 a.m.
They are both in bed, awake, and staring at the ceiling.
Nora: I just wanted this to be a nice relaxing weekend for the two of us and we get the room next to the honeymoon suite! (With that she bursts out laughing.)
Bo: Shhhh!
N: Shhhh?? Bo, I don't think they can hear me! I can barely hear me. (By this time she laughing hysterically)
B: (He starts to laugh) Quiet Red, I want to listen.
N: (She slaps him) Bo! You're sick.
B: I'm only kidding. Do you want me to call the manager?, maybe we can switch rooms.
N: No, not in the middle of the night anyway.
B: Maybe we can drown them out with the TV.
N: (Laughing again) I doubt it.
B: Radio? I'm trying here Nora (Laughing)
N: It's just that this is our first weekend in a long time away from everything and I wanted it to be special.
B: Well, it's only the first night, don't worry. We'll make it special.
N: Well, I can't stand this, maybe the radio will help (laughing).
Bo turns on the radio and finds an oldies station.
Nora lays in his arms and tries to concentrate on the music.
N: It's wonderful though, isn't it?
B: What is? The music?
N: No. Yes. No, I mean those two over there - the newlyweds. Everything just seems so perfect and wonderful when you first get married.
B: Yeah, we were like that. I felt that way since the day I met you and fell in love with you.
N: Were? Have we lost it?
B: No, but unfortunately things and people got in the way. But we are working on getting it back right?
N: Yes. I want it back more than you know.
B: So do I. That was the worst time of my life. Even though I convinced myself I was happy with the way things were.
N: I know exactly what you mean. We....you, missed out on so much, especially with Matthew. I'm sorry.
B: Sorry for what? It wasn't your fault honey. You know that.
N: I guess. I wonder if I will ever get over these feelings of anger I have.
B: Anger at me?
N: Well, quite honestly, yes - you and Sam and Lindsay.
B: Well, Sam and Lindsay I can understand, but me?, what did I do? (He says sarcastically with a laugh.)
N: (she laughs) Gee, how much time do you have? I really would like to get some sleep!
B: I think our neighbors are still at it.
N: God bless em.
B: (laughs) Well, we were that way too. You couldn't keep your hands off me...geez.
N: ME! What about you? You couldn't take enough cold showers!
B: (laughing) I can't help it, that's the effect you have on me.
N: Well, I wouldn't have it any other way.
B: Good, because I don't want it any other way.
He kisses her.
B: You know, we could give them a run for their money.
N: Hmmm....I'm game if you are.
B: When am I not?
N: Good point......
The next morning Bo and Nora run into the couple from the honeymoon suite. They are a lovely gray-haired couple, who look to be in their 70's.
Bo and Nora look at each other, smile, kiss, and go on their way.
THE END.....
