A Day on Llantano Mountain - part 2

recap
Bo and Nora bump into each other (not literally) at a lookout, high up Llantano Mountain. Bo had ridden his
motorcycle and Nora had "borrowed" Hank's. They weren't too pleased to see each other at first, but as the day wore on they talked about how they were much better friends than foes. They are about to leave.

They head over to their motorcycles. Nora grunts as she flings her leg over the monster. She puts the key in and tries to start the dang thing. Nothing.

Bo: How much gas did you put in?
Nora: Gas?
Bo: Red, you didn't fill up did you?
Nora: Nope.
Bo: Figures. Hop on behind me and hold on tight. Hank and I will come up tomorrow and rescue his bike.
Nora: My hero.

********************************************************************************

Nora climbs on the back of Bo's motorcycle and puts her arms around his waist. Bo smiles. Nora smiles. Bo turns the key in the ignition and it's dead too.

Nora: You're kidding, right?
Bo: I filled it this morning...there's got to be lots of gas left.
Nora: Try again - I have to go home.
Bo: I'm trying, I'm trying - it's dead.
Nora gets off: Now what? It's too far and too dark to walk.
Bo: I can't see to fix it.
Nora: As if you could fix it in broad daylight.
Bo: I could....maybe.
Nora: Well, we can't stay here all night.
Bo: Well, we just might have to.
Nora: Here...with the bears and snakes and...
Bo: Cool it, will ya. Nothing will hurt you here. I promise. I've stayed here at night before.
Nora: When?
Bo: Before.
Nora: Where's your cell phone? We'll just get someone, like Hank, to pick us up.
Bo: My cell phone. My cell phone is at my apartment. Where's yours?
Nora rummages through her bag: Ah ha, here it is, we're saved!
Bo: Here give it to me...Nora, it's dead.
Nora: No it isn't. I used it just before I came up here.
Bo: And you left it on all day.
Nora: Oh, did I?... This is a joke right. Your motorcycle really does work doesn't it, and one of our phones is working, right?
Bo: Try for yourself if you don't believe me.
Nora takes her phone and when she doesn't get a response she hurls it over the mountain edge.
Bo: Temper, temper
Nora: They never work when you need them - not in Llanview anyway. Oh well, at least I know that Mary Ann is staying over tonight and if she runs into any problems and can't get me, she'll call Sam. I guess I'll just have to trust that.
Bo: I'll build a fire to keep us warm... we can share my blanket.
Nora: A fire sounds good - you only brought one blanket?
Bo: Well, how many did you bring?
Nora: Good point. I hate sleeping outside.
Bo: More than you hate fishing? (They both start laughing)
Nora: I'm not too sure about that. Oooh that's a good fire.
Bo: Forest Ranger Bo at your service.
Nora: Room service? I'd like a hot cup of coffee please.
Nora was stunned as Bo took out a pot, bottled water and some coffee from his basket and started boiling the water over the fire. He then took two mugs from the basket and within a short while was giving Nora a steaming cup of coffee.
Nora: Forest Ranger Bo, you really know how to please a lady!
Bo: My services are limitless!
Nora: Oh really?
Bo: Really - ask and you shall receive.
Nora: What was that noise?
Bo: Oh probably just some old hungry bear.
Nora: Oh my lord!
Bo: Red, relax, it was just a branch falling. It's nothing. Now let me ask you a question. What would you have done if you had come up here alone and couldn't get back?
Nora: I don't want to even think about that. I guess, I'm really glad that you are here.
Bo: Well, I guess so. In the morning, we'll flag down a car and get help. Everything is going to be just fine. It really is a beautiful night. Lie back and appreciate the wonderful sky.
Nora: You're not going to seduce me, are you?
Bo: I might.
Nora: Good.
Nora was starting to shiver as the temperature started to drop. Bo put his arm around her and pulled her closer. It was too soon to start anything. It was just a start to renewing their relationship and as much as he wanted her, he didn't think it was a wise move right now. Nora felt differently. She turned to face him and as her lips met his, they couldn't resist each other. Afterwards, they curled up together and fell asleep in each others arms.

They woke up at the same time, like the good old days, and stared into each others eyes.
Bo: Let's get up and watch the sunrise.
Nora: To hell with the sunrise - I'm much too interested in something else!
Bo: You are a good little camper aren't you?
Nora: You ain't seen nothing yet.

Later that morning, they hitchhiked back to town...hungry, cold and happy.
