The Show Must Go On (Short story)     Shiri Lake: Welcome to our show again! Today we have a special show.. and if you ask me.. very crazy one! Our subject today is..   Now it’s time to choose your love and to dump your rubbish aside!"   Shiri Lake: We’re going to start in a very special case.. and insane! (points to the stage) This is Nora Hanan Ganon Buchanan, she is a successful lawyer who is absolutely involved in a triangle love.. and you even can say a quartet love! So Nora how did you become a part of a triangle love?   Nora: Well it’s all started before a few years when I met an handsome and wonderful guy. It was after his wife died and we both tried to find her killer. After a lot of time that we spent together we fell in love with each other. We got married and we had the best marriage any one can ask. We shared a huge madly love that last for 6 years.   Shiri Lake: And this guy’s name is Boo, right?   Nora: (laughs) Well not Boo, it’s just Bo.   Shiri Lake: (embarrassed) Oh I’m sorry, I meant Bo... pause.. so where is the problem?   Nora: It’s all started when some old boyfriend of mine.. 20 years ago.. came to town. It clarified to us that he has been loving me for all these years, even when he was married to another.   The audience starts to mumble and jabber.   Shiri Lake: Sound like what every girl wants, doesn’t it? It is very flattering.   Nora: Well it is, a little. But is started to cause problems between me and my husband. He became a little jealous with Sam and..   Shiri Lake: (interrupts) Wait a minute, so Sam is the old lover?   Nora: Yes. After I assured Bo that nothing is going on between Sam and me, everything was absolutely great. We were very happy, and we started to talk about making a baby. But then Bo`s son, Drew died and Bo took it very badly so he took a boat into a hurricane. I was so afraid for him and when we succeeded to reach him on the radio I was desperate to bring him back so I told him that I’m pregnant.   Shiri Lake: And you weren’t?   Nora: No, I wasn’t really pregnant when I told him that. But he believed me and got back home. But then I found out that Bo can’t be a father to a child.   The audience starts again to jabber and mumble.   Shiri Lake: What do you mean? How did you find out this?   Nora: We both did a fertility test and Bo`s said that he can’t be a father to a child.   Shiri Lake: So I guess you told him the truth, didn’t you?   Nora: No. it was very complicated, he expected to the new baby so much, it was what kept him alive and I couldn’t tell him the truth.   Shiri Lake: So what did you do?   Nora: I asked Sam to make a baby with me for Bo.   The audience yells again.   Shiri Lake: And he agreed? You slept with him?   Nora: (sadly) Yes I did.   Now a few people yells boo!   Shiri Lake: So you got pregnant and let Bo think that you’re carrying his child?   Nora: Yes.   Shiri Lake: Wow! This is unbelievable! So what happened next?   Nora: He found out the truth and we got divorced.   Shiri Lake: But you gave a birth to the baby?   Nora: Yes. His name is Matthew.   Shiri Lake: Ok, so you divorced Bo. And gave a birth to Matthew, where is Sam in that picture?   Nora: He helped me to get through over the pain of the divorce and he has been a wonderful daddy to Matt. After a few months we started dating again and I fell in love with him.   The audience yells again.   Shiri Lake: Ok.. I think we never had this on our show! So if you fell in love with Sam why are you here today?   Nora: Because I realized I still have strong feelings for Bo and Sam doesn’t want to marry me now.   Shiri Lake: Strong feelings for Bo?? Does he know about these feelings?   Nora: Yep, I told him, but he didn’t want to know about them.   Shiri Lake: I think it’s the right time to get Bo into the stage.   The audience: (yelling) Bo! Bo! Bo! Bo! Bo! Bo! Bo!   Bo comes to the stage and sits next to Nora.   Shiri Lake: Hi, Bo! I guess you know why you’re here today, right?   Bo: Hi, yes, I have some clue.   Shiri Lake: So, we all want to know what you think about Nora’s feeling for you?   Bo: Like I told her, I think she should forget them and move on with her life, like I did.   Shiri Lake: Like you did???   Bo: Yes, I’m dating with a wonderful woman [Yeah right!] named Lindsay..   Nora: Which is Sam’s ex- wife..   Shiri Lake: Sam’s ex- wife?? Wow! This is absolutely unbelievable! Bo: I love her and want to marry her..   Shiri Lake: And you admit you have no feelings for Nora?   Bo: I will always love her, she had been my wife and my heart for so long, but I guess it’s all over now.   Shiri Lake: You guess? Aren’t you sure?   Bo: I’m sure that we can’t be together anymore..   Shiri Lake: But you’re not sure you stopped loving her?   Bo: It’s too late for us now, She loves Sam. So it doesn’t matter anymore if I love her or not.   Shiri Lake: Yes, Ma`am?   Woman: I have a question to Bo. Don’t you think that if you still love Nora it would be wrong to marry the other woman?   Bo: Well.. I didn’t say I still love Nora.. romantically..   Shiri Lake: Ok, now I’m really confused.. so do you love her or not?   Bo: I don’t know if you can call it love.. but I do care about her, and I will cherish all our happy memories together forever, I’ve never in my life loved someone like I loved her...   Shiri Lake: Don’t know what about you, but it surely sounds like love to me..   The audience yells and cheers.   Shiri Lake: They think so too... c’mon, Bo, you can’t be that stupid and not to realize that you’re still love her... romantically!!   Bo: Ok. So I love her.. but I can’t be with her as long as she loves Sam too.. it’s too painful to me!   Nora: But if you just give us another little chance I’m sure we can work things out.   Bo: And what about Sam?   Nora: Don’t you get it, Bo? I love you! I’ve never stopped loving you! Yes, I love Sam, but as a dear friend f mine, as someone who stood by me when I needed you the most, but not as much as I love you.. (quietly) as my lover...   Shiri Lake: OOO... I think things getting hot here!!   The audience yells and cheers again!   Bo: Do you really mean that?? Because I don’t think I can handle another broken heart, Nora. The first one was hard enough for me.. I still trying to heal..   Nora: Me too.. why can’t we heal together? You love me and I love you.. you know we can work this out, Bo!   Shiri Lake: So? What do you think Bo?   Bo: I’m too scared, Red. Nora: Of what?   Bo: (sadly) That I may lose you again..   Nora: (with tears in her eyes) Oh Bo..   Shiri Lake: Yes, Ma`am? What is your name?   Woman: My name is Kineret. I have a question to both Bo and Nora... what the hell are you waiting for?? Don’t you think you wasted too much time already? Bo take the chance! Life is too short.. it obvious you still love each other.. forget the past.. live the present!   The audience: (yelling) Go Bo! Go Bo! Go Go Go Bo!!   Bo looks deeply into Nora’s eyes and takes her hand.   Nora: (whispers) I love you Bo Buchanan.   Bo: And I love you red.   Bo pulls Nora closer to him and kisses her in the same passion she responds to his kiss..   Shiri Lake: Ok, guys, that’s all for today! Hope you enjoy our show!! The show ended and now the audience yells..   Go Shiri! Go Shiri! Go Go Go Shiri!!!!! [I`ve always liked this part of her show! LOL!!]
