The Mission: Bo & Nora....... Short Story   It would be the event of the year. Something that no one has ever witnessed. Everyone would read about it. Everyone would wish they were there. And it would be one heck of a mission. Damn, it was almost impossible mission, considering those two stubborn people who let their pride get in between the two of them. But knowing that true love opened doors to the most impossible things that existed, he had a full confidence that it was going to work.   Asa leaned back in his huge chair. A huge smile spread over his face. He knew it was all up to him. And he was going to do anything he could do to help the two of them to recover. What other reason he had all this money for? He could picture everything into his head. Their faces. Their anger at first. Their looks. Their eyes. Their smiles.   "But it's not going to be easy" he exhaled hard "But I’m gonna hire the best team my money can buy.." he smiled "nothing is going to stop me now..." he paused "nothing".   It seemed like forever until he found the right specialists to help him. He couldn’t count the numbers of people he interviewed for this special mission. But he was not going to give up. Not as long as he lived. Two weeks after he started his searches for the people who could help him he sat in his chair and examined the files on his desk. He proudly smiled "Bingo!" he felt pleased with himself. Tomorrow morning he was going to make his goal come true.   The next morning everyone gathered in his office. Each one of the specialists sat quietly and waited to Asa's cue to begin.   He stood up, leaning on his hands on his huge desk. He cleared his throat "I'd like to begin, please.." he waited for a moment and started again "Like you already know we have a big and important mission in front of us. It's not going to be easy but I know that we are going to achieve our goal!" he chuckled "After all, I’m spending my best money on you, so you’d better help me win in this mission.."   Some of the ladies smiled. Some looked at him confusingly, wondering what’s up with that old man. Some looked at him with admiration for his good will to reunite two lost souls. To reunite his family..   He gave them a serious look and they all knew it was their time to shut up. "I'd like everyone in her turn to introduce herself and her job. We are going to work together 24/7 so you’d better know each other.. and who knows?? Maybe you’ll become friends too.. " He smiled. He pointed at the lady who sat besides him "You. You begin.."   The lady looked at him and then started "My name is Mary Ann. I’m going to be in charge of their website. I’ve already designed a few sketches for the site. I’m gonna put pictures of the two of them, the stories of their lives and so many good and happy memories they made together. But most importantly, I’m owning a message board, where I can gather all support we’ll need for this mission. Like Asa said.." Mary Ann looked at Asa as he cleared his throat, and then smiled "I'm sorry, I meant like Mr. Buchanan said we have a very hard work to do in order to get what we want and we need all support we can get. Plus, through the board we can stay in touch with each other at anytime without problems. It’s gonna be our major place for our goal." Asa thanked her and Mary Ann sat. Then he said.. "Next!".   The next woman stood up and looked at everyone "Hey, my name is Toby and I’m in charge of making polls every once in awhile. That’s way we can know what everyone thinks and know each other’s opinions. If we want our finished product to be good it will surely help to know what everyone thinks about what’s going on".   Toby sat down and Asa thanked her. His gaze turned to look at the woman who sat beside Toby and waited for her to leave her notebook and start talking, when she didn’t start he began "Ok, I’ll introduce the next lady myself, because as you can see she’s busy writing everything that is being said here. This is Cindy and she’s going to write our records. Everything that is being said both in our meetings and your discussions will be in her records. That’s way everyone can stay updated and stay on the right track as for how things are going on. And believe me, it’s very important that we all know where we stand".   "Ok, let’s continue. Our next specialist is..." the woman jumped of her chair and excitedly cut Asa’s sentence off.   "Lea! I’m Lea and I’m going to provide the champagne whenever it’s necessary. When we have ups.. and when we have downs and we just need a good drink to cool off .. and of course.. when we finally can sit back and watch our great couple on their great moment of getting their brains back and falling right into each other’s arms!"   Asa’s gaze turned to look at the next woman and she got up and started. "I'm Lisa Marie and I’m going to design special postcards so everyone can just print them and send them off to anyone who can help us. Like it’s already been said, we really really need to get as much support as we can get and my postcards` designs alone can show how desperately our couple need to find their hearts again.."   "Thank you very much, Lisa Marie" Asa said and turned to the lady who waited impatiently to her turn to arrive. She was still new in the business and she was really excited that the great Asa Buchanan chose her for this mission. "Although it’s her first case, I have strong feelings she will do just fine as our lawyer" the young woman smiled shyly to Asa’s compliment and then he cued her she could introduce herself alone..   "Hey, I’m Lyss, and just like Mr. Buchanan said it’s my first case but I sure as hell going to keep you out of troubles and give you legal advice any time you need it." The group smiled. This old man surely thinks of everything, they thought. Asa pointed at the big group of girls who sat together. [Author note: I’m sorry that I don’t mention names here but there are so many names to mention so just know that I’m talking about all the talented FF writers that we have here!] "That's lovely group is responsible for writing any possible script or theory as for how they think we should bring our couple back together. And according to what I already saw they have great minds and such a talent I’m sure they will come up with the perfect way to join our couple back together".   The group smiled and then everyone waited for the next member of that S.O.S meeting to begin. The problem was that she was way too busy looking at the clouds that she didn’t even notice that everyone was looking at her and waited for her to finally begin. When Asa’s patience came to its end he neared her and looked out at the sky and tried to see what was so fascinating there. When he couldn’t see anything interesting he turned his gaze to her and cleared his throat loudly right into her ear. She turned to look at him with an innocent look. When her mind finally came back to reality she straightened up in her chair "I’m sorry I was just..." she started to apologize and shyly smiled when Asa cut her off..   "I don’t care, I think I’d better introduce you myself" Asa shook his head, not sure why he decided she was the right woman for this assignment. "This is Kay and she’s going to get her job as Nora’s secretary back, after the last one, Shiri, couldn’t handle the two of them as was expected. Anyway, Kay is going to be our inside source about what’s going on with Nora. Just seeing her examining the clouds I’m sure she’ll do a great job examining any little detail she gets from working with Nora".   The next woman introduced herself before Asa had the chance to call her. She just leaped up from her chair and a huge smile spread all over her face. She looked like she was going to explode with excitement. "Hi everyone, I’m Hanis.." she chuckled "I’m sorry, I meant Janis, with J not H" she saw everyone’s looks and decided that the best was to continue. "And I’m going to be.." she started to sound overly excited "wow, I still can’t believe it.." noticing everyone’s looks again she continued "Bo`s assistant! His right hand! And I’m going to be your inside source as far as it concerns Bo! Wow, have I already said how handsome he is???"   "Just remember that we’re supposed to bring Bo and Nora together.. not you and Bo!" the other specialists rolled their eyes and muttered under their breath.   "Ok, be quiet please! We don’t have time to waste!" Asa stood up and calm everyone down.   Asa stopped, pushed a button and suddenly a huge screen rolled down from the ceiling. Everyone looked at him confusingly and then he turned to look at them and explained "We are going to talk now to our next member through my web cam, who happens to be Nora’s parents, Selma and Len, neighbor in Chicago" Asa turned to look at the screen when the woman appeared on the screen, smiling to everyone "Say hello to our friend, Karen" Asa smiled.   "Hey girls! I’m going to be attached to Nora’s parents and together we are going to `brain wash` Nora’s head.." she smiled "If you need any information about our Nora don’t be afraid to ask, our spies here are more than willing to cooperate..." she winked to them and waved her hand as bye-bye wishing .   "Our next member is..." Asa’s words trailed off and let her talk for herself.   "Toni and I’m going to add a little fun to our work. We’re all going to keep busy for a while and I figured it would be nice if we stopped for a moment and wish to each other `Happy B-day` on our birthdays. I think that friendly wishes will make it even nicer to work together... side by side..."   Everybody smiled. It was really nice idea. They all had so much to do and what could be better than to enjoy the wishes of friends? They just knew as much as this goal was going to be hard to achieve they would have a lot of fun along the way and meet a wonderful bunch of friends and that was enough reason to stick together and support one another.   "Our next lady has a special job. She’s not going to help Bo and Nora directly, but she’s surely going to make sure our stomachs will survive during our mission." Asa smiled and walked to her side and patted on her back "Everyone meet Kineret" Asa chuckled and whispered in her ear "God dammit! I will never learn how to say your name right! I just have a problem with the damn R.. you’ll just have to forgive me.."   Kineret giggled and said "Never mind, it’s nothing that you can’t fix with a few millions, ya know..." she winked to him and he smiled. He surely liked her young spirit. "Anyway, Kineret is going to be in charge of making us enough junk food.." he smiled and added "but I’m not responsible if you end up in the hospital complaining you’ve got belly ache!"   "Now after we all got to know each other I have to remind you that we have a lot of work to do and there are a lot of obstacles expected. You must remember that there are some people, crazy people, I must add, that won’t make it easy for you, so you’ll just have to stick together and don’t let anyone interfere us."   As the time passed the specialists realized how much Asa was right, it wasn’t easy at all to bring Bo and Nora together. So much pain and hurt were involved in their case and there were days they couldn’t believe that the day would come and they’d make their couple reunite. But they worked, and worked hard, to get what they were hired to do. They spent days and nights together. Thinking. Creating. Writing. Sending letters. Gathering any possible support they could get. And they had successes along the way. They could get a smile or a dance here and there. They even got to find out that Bo and Nora did share a child together after all. They cried, they complained, they laughed. Until the day finally came. And the hope was right in front their eyes. They did it.   ~Breaking new~ Breaking news~   "Our Pulitzer winner, Jan, is out there in the area, broadcasting for us the great development in our mission". Asa announced and let Jan report her news.   "Hey guys, I’m really freezing out here but I just happy to report you, straight from the area, that our mission was successfully completed, so you can sit back and open your TV and give yourselves thumbs up- you out did yourselves!"   The gang smiled, leaned back and carefully watched what was happening on their TV’s screens...   Bo and Nora smiled to each other. They had no idea what they both were doing there at the same time, but secretly they both were happy about that. As they kept on looking into each other’s eyes they could hear voices in their heads.   "C'mon, Buchanan.. kiss her!!! Just kiss her.. tell her you love her.." the voices echoed in his head.   "What the hell are you waiting for?? Tell him you missed him!" That you love him!! Always have and always will!" the voices were so loud that her head almost explode.   "I love you" they both looked surprisingly at each other as their words burst out at the same timing.   "What have you just said?" They both asked together, again in the same timing.   They both smiled. Nora leaned her head down and Bo held her chin, making her to look straight into his blue eyes. "I love you, Red.."   Nora smiled "I love you too, Buchanan. I’ve never stopped.."   Bo didn’t waste his time and kissed her. Passionately. They kept on kissing, never leaving each other’s lips and the hard worker team just looked at them. Watching their couple reunite.   "Kay.. Kay.." Toby grabbed Kay’s shirt and tried to get her attention "You can stop looking at the clouds now.. look at them!! You’re missing all the action!!" Toby exhaled in despair.   "I think you can bring the champagne now, Lea!" Mary Ann smiled at Lea. Of course that Lea didn’t waste her time and pulled out the champagne bottle she carried with her 24/7... just in case that...   "Oh, I feel bittersweet. I’d love to have Bo all to myself.. but I couldn’t be the one who stands on the way of true love..." everyone giggled as they watched their friend.   When their lips finally parted, Nora began to talk.. "you know, Bo.. I have this weird feeling as if someone is watching us.."   Bo smiled and cupped her face "it’s just your imagination, Red... we are all alone here..." he mischievously smiled and led her down onto the floor where they realized their love for each other.   Asa clapped his hands together and smiled "We did it!! We did it!!"   They all looked at Asa who was so happy they couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction. Then one of the members, who wasn’t heard that much during these years, asked for their attention.   "I just wanted you to know guys, that it was one heck of a pleasure to work with you here and I’m really going to miss working with you... thank you!! And Bye-Bye.." She softly smiled and added "till we meet again!!" They all smiled back at her and...   The End!!
