THE WEDDING

Things are basically the same as they are right now: B/L and S/N are together, everyone (except maybe Lindsay) thinks that Matt is Sam's son. Nora has
accepted Sam's proposal (ACK ACK!) And the wedding date is set for New Year's Eve (which is two weeks away).

Sam and Nora as well as Bo and Lindsay are out for dinner at the Palace. Dorian is there with Blair and Kelly.

SAM: I'm glad we were able to get out tonight. It seems like ages since we have had a "date".
NORA: I know what you mean. This is perfect.
SAM: Well...almost perfect. I wish Bo and Lindsay weren't here.
NORA: Don't worry about them. Let's just enjoy each other.

BO: You sure look good tonight. I'm glad you said yes to the date.
LINDSAY: Why wouldn't I say yes. We don't get to spend enough time together.
BO: Well I was afraid that you might not be feeling well yet.
LINDSAY: I am over that food poisoning. Don't worry about it any more.
BO: If you say so. Let's just enjoy tonight.
LINDSAY: I'd enjoy it a lot more if Nora wasn't here.
BO: Just ignore them..okay.

Everyone has a nice dinner. Lindsay and Dorian run into each other as they head to freshen up.
LINDSAY: So how have you been lately? We really haven't had too much of a chance to catch up.
DORIAN: I know. You've been busy with Bo. How are things with you two.
LINDSAY: Just perfect. I couldn't be happier.
DORIAN: I'm really glad to hear that. You deserve some happiness. Let's just hope he doesn't find out that you were the one that switched his sperm test in
the first place.
LINDSAY: How would he....
Nora has overheard everything.
NORA (yelling at Lindsay): You did what??
LINDSAY: What are you doing spying on me like that?
NORA: I wasn't spying. I was walking out of the ladies room. Now do you want to explain to me what Dorian just said?
LINDSAY: I don't want to talk about it. I'm going back to my table.
NORA: Fine. Dorian, do you want to tell me what this is all about?
LINDSAY: Don't say a word.
DORIAN: I'm sorry that you overheard this.
NORA: Then it's true?
DORIAN: Yes it's true.
By this time Bo and Sam have walked over to the women.
BO: So what's going on?
LINDSAY: Nothing Bo. Let's just leave.
NORA: You are not going anywhere. Bo....I hate to tell you this but Lindsay was the one that changed your original sperm count. It wasn't a mistake by the
hospital.
BO: What are you saying Nora? That Lindsay did that on purpose? I can't believe that.
NORA: Well believe it Bo. Dorian will tell you the same thing.
DORIAN: Nora is right Bo. Lindsay changed your tests.
LINDSAY: Bo...let me explain.
BO: Explain??? What the hell is there to explain? You did this to me?
LINDSAY: It wasn't you. I wanted to hurt Nora.
NORA: I can't believe you sometimes. You wanted to hurt me so you did this.
BO: I need to leave right now before I do something I will regret.
LINDSAY: Bo...please.
BO: Don't even talk to me Lindsay. I'm not sure what I would do if you did. Goodnight.
NORA: Sam, can we please get out of here? I have a lot to think about.
SAM: Sure no problem.

The next day - Police Headquarters

HANK (coming into Bo's office): Geez, you look like hell.
BO: Thank you very much.
HANK: Have you been here all night?
BO: Yeah I was.
HANK: What the heck happened?
BO: I found out that Lindsay was the one that changed my original sperm count. It wasn't a mistake after all.
HANK: She did what?
BO: Can you believe it? All this time Nora and I figured it was an honest mistake. We had come to terms with it. Now to find out that it was Lindsay all
along...
HANK: How did you find out?
BO: Nora overheard Lindsay and Dorian talking.
HANK: So Nora knows?
BO: Yeah she knows. I don't know what she's thinking though. I'll try and call her today.
HANK: What about Lindsay?
BO: What about her? I don't ever want to talk to her again.
HANK: Do you think you can avoid that?
BO: Oh yeah. We will never talk again. This has gotten me thinking though. If Lindsay lied about this is it possible that she lied about the DNA tests as well?
HANK: You think that Matthew might be your son after all?
BO: I wouldn't put it past Lindsay to lie about it so yeah...he might be my son.
HANK: Are you going to tell Nora?
BO: I don't know. She is so happy with Sam. They're going to get married you know.
HANK: Yeah...she told me. But is she marrying Sam only because of Matthew?
BO: I don't think so. She truly seems happy and I want her to be happy.
HANK: Still love her?
BO: No doubts there. There will always be a part of me that loves Nora. But she's with Sam now and I need to accept that we won't ever be together
again.
HANK: So what are you going to do about Matthew.
BO: I'm going to talk to Dr. Conklin and see if she can run another test without Nora finding out. I really need to be sure before I talk to Nora about it.

At the Gallery

LINDSAY (on the phone): Bo...are you there?? Pick up if you're there. I need to talk to you.
Sam walks in.
LINDSAY: What are you doing here?
SAM: I thought we needed to talk about last night.
LINDSAY: I can't believe that they found out. It was never suppose to happen.
SAM: You had to know that the truth would come out eventually.
LINDSAY: No....I never thought it would.
SAM: So...are you going to tell Nora that I knew about the switch?
LINDSAY: Why would I do that?
SAM: More revenge on Nora maybe.
LINDSAY: Sam, I would never do that to you. You kept my secret now I will keep yours.
SAM: Thank you. There really is no reason that Nora need know that I knew about this.
LINDSAY: Your secret is safe with me.

At Nora's office

NORA (on phone): Rikki? It's mom.
RACHEL: Mom, how are you? It's been ages.
NORA: I'm fine...
RACHEL: Mom...that is not your everything is fine voice. What's wrong?
NORA: Oh....Rachel. I found out last night that Lindsay was the one that changed Bo's sperm test. It wasn't a hospital mistake.
RACHEL: That bit... I can't believe this. Does Bo know?
NORA: He was there last night. He was devastated.
RACHEL: I can only imagine. So what are you going to do about this?
NORA: There really isn't anything to do. It's done and over with.
RACHEL: This doesn't change things with you and Bo?
NORA: Why should it? I still slept with Sam...I still had Sam's baby. This really hasn't changed anything except for the fact that Bo and Lindsay won't be
together any more.
RACHEL: Well that's good news isn't it?
NORA: For Bo...yes. But I am still marrying Sam on New Year's Eve.
RACHEL: Even though you are still madly in love with Bo.
NORA: Rikki, I love Sam.
RACHEL: But I know that you are still in love with Bo. You can't deny it.
NORA: No...I can't deny it but we will never be together again. Too many things have happened.
RACHEL: I can't believe that you are giving up so easliy.
NORA: I'm not giving up. This is best for everybody. Especially Matthew.
RACHEL: You shouldn't be marrying Sam just because of Matthew.
NORA: I'm not. I do love Sam. I don't want to talk about this any more. Are you going to make it to the wedding?
RACHEL: I'm going to try.
NORA: Only try?
RACHEL: Mom I want to be there for you but I'm not sure I want to be there when I know you are making a huge mistake. But like I said...I will try.
NORA: Thank you. I'll call you next week?
RACHEL: Okay mom. I'll talk to you then.

It's the day before the wedding. Bo has had the DNA tests run with the help of Dr. Conklin but he hasn't gotten the results back. Rachel has decided to
show up for the wedding.

At Nora's office

RACHEL: I can't believe that you are working the day before your wedding.
NORA: I had a bunch of stuff that I wanted to finish before the wedding and I really don't have anything else to do anyway. Sam has taken care of
everything.
RACHEL: Kind of like your wedding to Bo? I'm sorry...I shouldn't have brought up his name.
NORA: It's okay. I'm okay. I love Sam and that is why I am marrying him tomorrow.
RACHEL: Still trying to convince yourself that you don't love Bo?
NORA: Rikki please. There is nothing more to discuss.
There is a knock on the door.
NORA: Come on in. Bo....hi.
BO: Hi Nora. (Hugging Rachel) It is so good to see you kid. How have you been?
RACHEL: I'm fine. How are you? Mom told me about Lindsay. I'm sorry.
BO: Don't be. It's done and over with.
RACHEL: Well I'm going to get out of here so you two can talk.
BO: Will we have a chance to do lunch while you're in town?
RACHEL: Definitely. Call me at my dad's. See ya.
BO: She is something else. Looks like she has gotten her life turned around.
NORA: Yeah..she has. I'm very proud of her.
BO: You should be. She's done well.
NORA: So...what did you stop by for?
BO: I guess I'm not really sure. Okay...I wanted to wish you well tomorrow. You deserve to be happy.
NORA: Oh.....Bo....
BO: What?
NORA: Nothing...thank you for your wishes. I'm sure that Sam and I will be happy.
BO: Good. That's all I've ever wanted for you. NORA: I want you to be happy too. And that will happen, I'm sure. You may not think so right now but it
will.
BO: Well....I guess I'll let you get back to work. I just wanted to stop by and wish you well.
NORA: Thank you.

The next day at the chapel

RACHEL: I still can't believe that mom is marrying Sam when she is so obviously in love with Bo. And I saw the looks Bo gave her the other day.
HANK: Don't start on your mom. She loves Sam.
RACHEL: So she says.
HANK: Rikki, there is nothing we can do about your mom and Bo. They need to figure this out for themselves and your mom has chosen Sam.
RACHEL: And what a mistake that is.
HANK: Rachel Gannon...
RACHEL: I'm sorry dad but it's true. I just wish she would come to her senses before it's too late.
HANK: Just let it go baby. She has made up her mind.

Nora walks down the aisle to a waiting Sam[I can't describe this any better because I don't want to even imagine it]. Andrew begins the marriage ceremony.

ANDREW: If there is anyone here who has any reason to know that these two people cannot be legally joined in marriage, please speak up now or forever
hold your peace.

Nora closes her eyes and silently wishes for someone to speak up. There is only silence. Nora knows she can't be silent.

NORA (quietly): Sam...I can't go through with this. I'm sorry. It's all wrong.
RACHEL (to herself) YES YES YES
SAM: But we love each other.
NORA: Yes, I love you but I'm not in love with you. I need to do what is right for me. I'm sorry.

Nora runs out of the church with Sam staring after her.

Bo is at his apartment listening to oldies. Thinking about Nora.

BO (to himself): Red, I hope he makes you happy. You deserve it.

There is a knock at the door. When Bo opens it, Nora is standing there wearing her green sweater and jeans with tears in her eyes. She walks into Bo's
open arms and holds him tightly.

BO(slightly confused): Red...what are you doing here?
NORA: What does it look like I'm doing here? I'm holding the man that I love.
BO: What?
NORA: You heard me Buchanan. I am holding the man that I love.
BO: I hate to ask this but what about Sam?
NORA: I just couldn't...I couldn't marry him. Not when I am still in love with you.
BO: Oh Red.....
NORA: I want us to try again. I want us to start over. Can we try?
BO: I never thought I would hear you say that. Yes of course we can try.

Bo takes her face in his hands and kisses her deeply and slowly.

BO: I love you Red
NORA: I love you too Bo.
