The secret to a successful marriage and family is teamwork, according to OLTL's Hillary B. Smith (Nora), who is raising daughter Courtney and son Phips with businessman mate Phillip "Nip" Smith.
"I wouldn't have been able to do everything [I've done in my career] without my husband's support," explains the actress. "Actually, he has much more patience with the kids than I have, and I think he's far better at certain [aspects of] parenting than I am."
While Smith's acting career is a priority, her better half's dreams get equal time. "When my husband was starting a new business, that's when I came back to daytime, so I could be more hands-on with the kids," says the performer, who has starred on such primetime shows as SOMETHING WILDER and NO SOAP, RADIO. "We just agree that one of us would always be there for the kids. I think the combination is great."
